‘Behind every favorite song, there is an untold story!’
“Music is a language that doesn’t speak in particular words. It speaks
in emotions, and if it’s in the bones, it’s in the bones.” ― Keith Richards
There is no denying that music is a major factor of our lives,
most of us I guess. This is not for the ones who listen to one song and then
get bored of it and it’s over. This is for people who fall in love with a song,
or just simply get addicted to the song and listen to it on loop, people like
me. There is always this one song that is most listened to in your playlist.
You basically listen to that song everywhere and every day. Whenever you have
the chance of listening to music, that is this one song that will be played
first and second and third and fourth and maybe then you will listen to
another. Do you remember any such song or songs?
I think that over the years, any such songs that came into our
life has a story behind it. The words and lyrics may not describe that story
but just by listening to that song, it reminds you of something, someone, a
period of your life, happiness and sadness as well. Remember when you had your
first smartphone and learnt to download songs? These are the songs I’m talking
about. Just go and listen to them today, you’ll automatically be taken back to
that teenage years. Or do you remember when you were little and you would
always hear particular songs on the radio or on TV or anywhere you would go
to? For me it would be the old world cup
songs, whatever year it was, it was the song that was always around for a
while, whether I had my phone or not. It just was there. And if you would
listen to them now, you would feel the atmosphere that was around, the feels,
the games and everything.
I feel that these songs are engraved into our mind and heart. No
matter how much time have gone by, anytime that song is played, you remind
yourself of a memory. It feels good to get back to those time once in a while,
even the bad ones. The songs that you listened to on bus rides, songs that you
were listening to for a while and met someone during that period, songs that
you were listening to when you had your first heartbreak, or a song that your
best friend forced you to listen to, or a song that you thought was crappy but
you listened to it anyway. Go and listen to them all, you will relive those
stories!
